AOMAIS Sport II Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speakers Review

AOMAIS Sport II Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speakers Review

The Sport II claims to be a versatile Bluetooth speaker for the Echo Dot, but then we have heard similar claims made by other brands. Are you among those wondering if the Sport II is up to par with the other wireless Bluetooth speakers? There was only one way to find out, and that is to try this wireless speaker out.

Features of the AOMAIS Sport II Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speakers

  • The Sport II comes with all the features necessary to get the speaker up and ready. Apart from the speaker, you also get a quick start guide, a float speaker accessory, aux in cable, USB charging cable, and a 12-month warranty.
  • The speaker is equipped with a rechargeable battery so you’ll be able to use this for hours on end.
  • The speaker is compatible with iOS mobile devices, as well as Samsung, HTC, and other Android devices.
  • The hands-free function is built into the Sport II so you’ll be able to take calls without any hassle.
  • The device is made from solid, heavy duty parts, making it suitable for use in outdoor environments.
  • The speaker comes with 20W of power for rich, deep sounds and clear treble.
  • The Sport II has an IPX7 waterproof rating, good enough for a minute of water immersion for half an hour.

  • Waterproof.
  • Lightweight.
  • Rugged built.

  • Low-end response could be better.

The Sport II offers superb performance, and its speaker is among the clearest and richest we have tried from AOMAIS. With 20W of power and high-quality stereo sound, you get deep bass, crisp audio, and distinct sounds and instruments.

TheAOMAIS Sport II Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker uses the latest wind/noise and sound reduction technology, so you don’t hear any distortion while listening to music. You can set the volume to maximum and you will still get a deep bass without the sound cracking up. The speaker also has a specially made loudspeaker cavity that produces acoustic audio clearly.

Bottom line

The sound is very good, and the bass in particular is well balanced. The speaker runs fine as it is, but you can hook it up to another and get 40W of power. Not only is this speaker capable of delivering good audio, but it is also ruggedly built. So even if you take this outdoors, it’s going to hold up.

The excellent performance extends to the battery. On a full charge, the lithium polymer can go for at least 8 hours (the louder the volume, the faster the battery drains), so there is no need to keep charging the speaker.

All good Echo Dot speakers today allow for hands-free calls, and the Sport II offers that too. After setting up the speaker, just use your Echo Dot app to control the volume and other functions of the system.

The Sport II excels in the ease of use aspect. As we have pointed out earlier, it is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, Samsung, PCs, and other Bluetooth devices, so it should work fine with your system. As long as your Echo Dot has been set up and you have the app, it will only take a few minutes to get the speaker running.

The Sport II also makes stereo pairing effortless. Do you want to use a couple of Bluetooth speakers together? No problem, as the Sport II simplifies the process. When set up, music is played from a single source and each speaker plays a channel. You don’t need to pair stereos, but if you want it, the Sport II can accommodate.

The IPX7 waterproof rating adds to the usability, obviously. If you’re going to use the speaker outdoors, it is inevitable that it’ll get some water spray or light splash. That won’t damage the speaker, however, and it is also dust and sand proof. This does not mean you should liberally sprinkle the Sport II with dust, dirt and water, only that if it happens, the device will still be functional.

A lot has been said about how compact the Sport II is, and we can say that it’s true. It is small enough to fit in a backpack so you can carry this while on the road.

With its 3.5 mm input, you can hook this up to Echo Dot or any Bluetooth compatible device. It should only take seconds to connect and then you’ll be able to listen to music. In other words, the Sport II speaker provides the usability that it promises.

The AOMAIS Sport II Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker is a feature packed and easy to use Bluetooth speaker, so it is highly suited for anyone who owns an Echo Dot. It works great at home but is durable enough to be used outdoors, so we recommend this to those who need a portable Bluetooth speaker.
